About

“My generation didn’t create the internet – we just don’t know the world without it.” – David Riordan

David is a co-founder of KRO Consulting, a new media boutique whose primary focus is helping companies leverage their message and products in the emerging social media technologies.   As our conversations have become more social – social networks and applications on the internet are driving innovation and changing how we interact both online and off. KRO focuses on the marketplace and communication challenges faced by companies trying to navigate the emerging social network opportunities.  David approached two other Hamilton students to start KRO in response to company requests he received to help them extend their message in the area of social media.   KRO has assisted clients in traditional media and nonprofit spaces in finding their place in social media.

While interning at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, the leading law firm to the venture capital industry, David researched and prepared briefs on data protection, security breaches, online gambling and hedge funds for the partners.  His extensive experience with Lexus/Nexus elevated his research ability.

In the fall of 2007, David interned with the House Oversight Committee for Congressman Henry Waxman working on document discovery, research and outlining a committee report on Avandia, an anti-diabetes drug found to cause heart attacks, and the failure of the FDA to take action concerning the drug’s safety.

During the summer of 2007, David worked at Revolution Health, an online consumer healthcare portal, founded by Steve Case.   David actively contributed to the development of new products and the refinement of the existing offerings.  In this environment, he worked with a diverse team of experts in healthcare, technology, cyberlaw, and privacy to help create a consumer-oriented solution set to access health information and personal health management tools.

As a freshman at Hamilton College, David partnered with Eric Kuhn, the “K” in KRO Consulting, to produce a weekly, hour-long radio/news talk show on WCHL – Eric Kuhn and Company. The show format invited media, political personalities to participate in a conversation about relevant, timely issues. Some of the guests were former NJ Governor Christine Todd Whitman, attorney David Boies, journalist Lou Dobbs, marketing consultant Seth Godin, media personalities Patrick Buchanan and Arianna Huffington, among others.

David is in constant dialogue with the leaders in the new social media industry including Facebook and Linkedin discussing issues relating to the future of social media, consumer privacy and user experiences.

David is a rising senior at Hamilton College majoring in Political Science with a minor in Computer Science.
